Rose City Miniatures is Changing Gears

The last eight months have seen a lot of deep thought and struggle in my personal life.  After embarking on this commission painting journey, I quickly found that right now I'm just not cut out for it mentally.  It takes a HUGE amount of willpower and drive to get up every day and paint someone else's models for hours and hours on end.  For those who can do it, and do it easily, that's awesome!  I'm so happy for you because you are living the dream I wanted to live, but in all honesty I can't do it right now.  I don't know if I ever will be able to build up the personal discipline and drive to start doing commissions again on a regular basis.

Now before I get too whiny and self-absorbed, I want to let you know what this blog will now be.  This will be a place that I post my own person hobby updates, links to my videos, and personal thoughts on the hobby.

Work in Progress Skaven

A couple of test models for a client.  These aren't quite finished but they are on the way to tabletop quality.

Harbinger of Menoth Commission

This beauty is just waiting to hear back from the client.

The trim on the armor is a bright gold color, not silver as it appears in the picture.  I'm slowly working on doing better pictures, but the metallics I use are HIGHLY reflective and difficult to take pictures of.  I'm going to be getting some better lights soon as these energy saving fluorescent bulbs just aren't cutting it.
